    (Background: The Jamestown Conservation Commission under the leadership of Chris Powell is urging the Town to move away from Cluster Development regulations for new development and adopt Conservation Development regulations. Their efforts resulted in the hiring of former Town Planner and author of Jamestown's first Comprehensive Plan, Tony Lachowicz to develop the language changes necessary in the three documents mentioned above. The RI Department of Environmental Management has embraced the Conservation Development idea and offers these documents for review. Click here for overview page.
